On the evening of September 12, the seminar “Brain-Based Learning: Developing Higher-Order Thinking Skills in the AI Age” was successfully held at Chui Huay Lim Club. We were honored to invite Prof Er Meng Hwa, Honorary Professor of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, as our keynote speaker. The seminar attracted educators, business professionals, and parents, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.
Professor Er Meng Hwa shared his profound academic insights through clear and inspiring explanations, introducing the essence of Brain-Based Learning (BBL) — an approach that aligns teaching, learning, and personal growth with how the brain naturally functions. He emphasized that in an era rapidly reshaped by AI, cultivating children’s higher-order thinking — such as critical analysis, creativity, and emotional intelligence is essential to equip them for an uncertain future.
We sincerely thank all participants for their enthusiasm and interaction. This seminar was not only an inspiration on how we learn but also a meaningful dialogue on how to ignite the light of thinking for the next generation. Together, let’s continue to move forward learning not just to think faster, but to think smarter in the age of AI.
